FAQ For Merchants

We understand that in the food delivery business there will be questions and concerns. We have created this frequently asked question section to help you with some of those questions. We hope you chose Grun Runner for your food delivery needs and together we can increase the worth of our communities and create much needed jobs.

Partnering with us will allow you as a merchant to have your very own ordering website. You will be able to accept dine in orders, pick up orders, delivery orders, reservations and scheduled orders in advance. In addition to this you may opt to have a custom website designed specific to your needs as well as custom apps. In addition you will get exposure on our website and our facebook page.

Partnership also gives you access to industry technology that most restaurant owners do not have and we have web developing skills, graphic design, video and photography to help you build amazing menus. Are you already on Doordash? If so we can import your menu and have you taking orders within a day!

Best of all you are working with local people. We are not in California like Doordash, we are just next door. This means you are working with people who care about your business because if you stay in business, then we stay in business! We are in this together!

We pay out to restaurants weekly, bi-weekly or monthly via ACH. We also have driver pay cards so that our drivers can pay you upon pickup. Driver pay cards are $0.20 per order however this can be offset in many ways. 

First and foremost we, as in your service and our service, create local jobs. When you have orders to deliver, we have drivers ready. We also plan to locate local charities that we can donate to as well. So by partnering with us, you are directly involved in helping make the local economy and community better.

Your name will stand out when we list merchants who are making your community better by providing jobs. In addition when we do fundraisers for local charity, your name will again be out there as helping make that happen!

Our system keeps fees as low as possible. For locally owned restaurants you can expect a typical 10-25 percent of order total or we can tailor your fees to a specific charge for the month depending on order volume. Merchants may also opt to carry a portion of the delivery fee or have all of the delivery fee charged to the customer. Fee structures can be modified per merchant per agreement.

Yes! We will always have someone you can reach out to in order to resolve issues. Being a local service, we don’t have call centers in another state. Other states don’t care about our local people but we do. We are just next door when you need us.

Yes all of our drivers will be screened and background checks will be done on every driver. In addition, unlike DoorDash, we plan to meet with every driver before we have them deliver your customers food. This ensures that we know exactly what kind of driver we will be getting.

We can provide merchants with seals that can be used to ensure the containers are tamper proof. These are an additional small fee monthly fee and our drivers will never open them. We do not in any way allow drivers to open any type of food container under any circumstances.

This is one of the reasons we encourage sealed bags or containers. This reduced risk of stolen items. If a container has been unsealed then we will promptly deal with that driver and the issue. Items missing will then be refunded if it is fault of a driver. 

If the items were not included by the merchant then that responsibility falls on the merchant. Our drivers are not permitted to open any food containers. Those items must be made up or refunded by the merchant. In either case, we will handle customer support calls however the customer retains the right to contact the merchant. 

We encourage any merchant to contact us if you have an issue with a driver. We expect our drivers to be polite, on time and courteous. We will always be available to speak to you about any issues that arise. 

Our driver app track every order from kitchen to doorstep. We will know in real time where that driver is and once the food is delivered the driver can take a photograph for proof of delivery.

  • Accepting orders is very easy. We offer the following order receipt methods.
  • App  (phone or Tablet)
  • Email / Fax (one or both)
  • Driver Placed
  • Dispatch Placed (call in)
  • Bluetooth Printer (requires tech consultation)
  • POS (requires tech consultation)

We have the ability to generate your custom ordering website from within our system. It comes complete with menu and is integrated with our system. It only requires you to keep your menu updated as it changes. If you have your menu online, it may be possible that we can import your menu and you will only have to update it in one location.

We can use either your own custom domain “YourName.com” or a sub domain which will look like “YourName.MyGrubRunner.com”. Regular domains are charged to the merchant, typically $11 per year. Depending on contract we  may eliminate that charge. The domain can either be hosted on your own domain account or on ours.

In addition to the frequently asked questions above, we wish to make sure every merchant understands that we will work with them in every possible manner to ensure a smooth process. As we always state, our goal is to provide community jobs and increased revenue. Together we can do this!
